Read a workflow run

A run writes an execution trace. Versions keep earlier saves. Copy and paste duplicate a workflow.

Read the trace

  1. Open the workflow and choose Run.
  2. Open Execution Trace under the canvas.
  3. Read each step. A failed step shows the error from that node.
  4. Choose the export control on the trace when you need the run as a file.

You should see one entry per node that ran. code is empty means that node has no function. aborted/timeout means the run was stopped or passed its limit. A node can run for up to 60 minutes. Set a hard limit on the node when you want it to stop sooner. A timeout returns no output from that node.

Restore a version

  1. Open the workflow menu and choose Versions.
  2. Read the time and the description.
  3. Restore the version you want. Each save of a node stores a version. The list keeps 50 versions.
  4. Delete asks Really delete this version?

You should see the restored graph on the canvas. Developers in the workspace can open version history. Save a short description when you want the next version to say what changed.

Copy the workflow

  1. On the workflow list, open the menu and choose Copy Workflow.
  2. Choose Paste workflow. The new title ends with (Pasted).
  3. On the canvas, copy selected nodes and paste them. The first pasted code node becomes the entry node when the canvas was empty.

You should see a second workflow in the list. It arrives turned off when it came from a template install. Enable it only after you have read the trigger. Could not paste workflow. Make sure you copied a valid workflow first. means the clipboard does not hold a workflow copy. Copy again, then paste.
