Run SQL in the editor

The SQL editor runs a statement on the connector you have open and shows the rows.

Run a statement

The editor is for you, in the workspace. It is not the SQL API. You do not send an API key.

  1. Open the SQL connector under Data.
  2. Open the SQL editor.
  3. Write a statement. Start with SELECT 'hello world' AS example;
  4. Run it and confirm the dialog. The dialog names the first word, such as SELECT, INSERT, UPDATE, or DELETE.

You should see SELECT SUCCESSFUL and the rows. An error line is the database message. Fix the table name or the SQL, then run again. A DELETE or UPDATE changes data. Read the dialog before you confirm.

If this fails: the editor is not on the screen

Open a SQL connector first. A storage connector has files, not the SQL editor. If the statement says the table does not exist, copy the table name from Data. Hidden tables still exist. Use the stored name, not the alias.
