Import a file into a table

Import loads a CSV or JSON file into a SQL table after you match file fields to columns.

Import

  1. Open the SQL connector and the target table.
  2. Start Import.
  3. Upload a CSV or JSON file. The first step accepts those two types.
  4. On Map Fields, match each file field to a column. A type warning means the file value does not fit the column. Change the match or the file.
  5. Review, then import.

You should see the new rows in the table. Required columns with no match and no default stop the import. Map those columns before you continue. Lead Finder import is a different path. It copies unlocked contacts. This page is for a file you already have.

If this fails: import stops

Read the status on the review step. Unknown import error usually means a required column was empty or a value did not match the column type. Fix the mapping and run again. The file is not changed. Rows already written stay in the table.
