Words Orbitype uses

These words mean one thing in Orbitype. Later pages use them without defining them again.

The place you work

  • Workspace: your data, leads, apps, workflows, and agents. Code calls this object orbi.project. The field name is project. It is the workspace.
  • Sponsor: the one person who pays for that workspace.
  • Member: a person in the workspace. Developer and Manager are roles with more control.
  • Credits: the unit of use. 1 USD is 100 credits.

Data and keys

  • Connector: one database (SQL) or one file store (storage).
  • API key: a secret for one connector. Send it as X-API-KEY.
  • Record: one row, or one JSON object.
  • Foreign key: a column that points at a row in another table.

Things you build

  • App: a page. The document is the HTML. A server action is a function the page calls with Orbi.action.
  • Orbi.exec: run a function once without saving an action.
  • Runtime: where that function, a workflow node, and an agent tool all run.
  • Workflow: a chain of nodes. Agent: a prompt plus tools. Slug: the short name used to call one of them.
  • Credential: a connection to LinkedIn, Apollo, Google, Microsoft, YouTube, or Discord.
  • MCP: a tool connection. You can add a server Orbitype calls, or call Orbitype from Cursor, Claude, or ChatGPT.

The Store

  • A component is one installable piece: an app, a workflow, workflow nodes, an agent, SQL, or code.
  • A template is a package of components with a page in the Store.
  • Install copies that package into the workspace you choose. SQL runs on the connector you choose.
  • Private is visible to you. Public can be found in the Store. Publishing a template also publishes the private components inside it.
