Call a connected account

A connected account stores an access token on the workspace. A node reads that token and calls the service.

Read the token

Connect the account under Credentials first. In a node, find it on orbi.project.credentials. Match oauth.provider when the name on the row may vary. orbi.project is the workspace.

async ({ orbi }) => {
  const token = orbi.project.credentials
    .find((c) => c.oauth?.provider === "Discord")?.value
  if (!token) throw new Error("Missing Discord credential.")
  const me = await fetch("https://discord.com/api/users/@me", {
    headers: { Authorization: `Bearer ${token}` },
  })
  return { output: await me.json() }
}

You should see your Discord user in the node output. The same shape works for the other providers. Put the provider string from this table in oauth.provider.

  • Discord: Discord. Current user and the servers that account is in.
  • Google My Business: Google. Business Profile accounts and locations.
  • Google Search Console: GoogleSearchConsole. Sites for that account.
  • Google Workspace: GoogleWorkspace. The row is named gws. Gmail, Calendar, and Drive tools look up that name. A node can also send Authorization: Bearer to the Google API.
  • Microsoft 365: Microsoft. Outlook, Calendar, and OneDrive.
  • YouTube: YouTube. The channel and videos for that account.
  • Apollo: Apollo. People search and enrich. The Apollo page in this guide covers apollo.connect.
  • LinkedIn: LinkedIn. Your own profile and posts on your own feed.

LinkedIn and LinkedIn Advanced

The LinkedIn credential posts to your own feed and reads your own profile. Inbox, invitations, people search, and company search use LinkedIn Advanced. Connect that credential and call linkedin.connect(accountId) before the other LinkedIn methods. accountId is the value stored on the LinkedIn Advanced credential.

If this fails: Missing credential

Missing Discord credential. and the same sentence for another provider mean the find returned nothing. Connect that service under Credentials and finish the sign-in. Match oauth.provider, not a label you invented. Google Workspace tools also require the credential name gws. A 401 from the service means the token was rejected. Open Credentials and connect that account again.
